Conjured for immortality, the severed hand brings death instead. A gripping fantasy adventure of magic, redemption, and the battle between light and darkness.

The Witching Hand was created by a coven of witches, known as the Meres of Sophi, to gain immortality, youth and beauty, and ultimate power. However, when the monstrous, vengeful force was born from a forbidden spell cast by the witches, the Hand rises in fury to destroy all in its path. Ladnar Windweaver, a half-elven novice of the Wizards of Toth, sets out on a desperate quest to stop the Witching Hand.

Joined by his warrior brother, Darby, his loving sister, Sheba, Dom Gray, a Wizard of Toth, and the enigmatic Meres of Sophi, Ladnar must navigate a world of treachery and ancient magic. But even as they seek to pacify the Hand, a greater shadow looms—Barshahor, the Dark Lord beyond the Black Mountains, hungers for power.

As alliances are tested and long-buried truths come to light, Ladnar and his companions must confront their deepest fears and greatest doubts. Can they break the spell before the darkness claims them all?

Perfect for fans of classic fantasy, The Witching Hand weaves an unforgettable tale of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring struggle between truth and deception.

I never expected the most interesting character in a story to be a hand. I kept expecting the children, the king, the villiage budding wizard, but the hand became super developed. I kept thinking this would be like if the hand from the Adam’s family became over powered.

At first, I thought I was afraid it was going to be like Game of Thrones where people just killed off left and right. Then I thought it was going to be a nice coming of age story for the kids. The story really can alive once I realized it was all about the hand. Very interesting since a hand can’t talk, but still can communicate, but also isn’t a whole person. I almost think of Helen Keller learning to communicate without being able to hear or see, but the hand has the stark disadvantage of being on a murderous rampage. That would have really changed the Helen Keller story.

The audio wasn’t terrible. I gave it 4 starts because I couldn’t stand the underwater sound effects when people were communicating in their minds. Otherwise, the voices were good.
