An arresting collection of short stories, reminiscent of Shirley Jackson and Julio Cortazar, by an exciting new international talent.

Rock solid collection and one of my favorites. When a friend asks me for a recommendation I always mention Things We Lost in the Fire. “Spiderweb” is worth the price alone. A must read

Like all things she writes, this is a masterpiece. A sort of new genre of horror. Sort of like folk horror, but instead of folk, the old, the forgotten… it’s about the new horrors created by humankind, but still feels like folk tradition horror. It’s just it’s own thing. Go for it. You won’t regret it.
