Nice historical

The story was good the characters were likable . The narrator was okay although some of the male voices were nasally and annoying. Why does the heroine always believe the nasty b*tch who tells her trash? I don’t know,one of those mysteries of the romance novel I guess. Just once I’d like the heroine to turn around and say “ listen up b*tch mind your own da*mn business” 😯

Good story, performance eh

The readers voice just couldn’t handle the main characters male voice for me and took away from the story.

I enjoyed this book and will listen to more of Debra Mullins books!! Entertaining listen.

Enjoyable but it could have been even better.

I really enjoyed this audible book. I do wish that the story had gone into greater detail and that the characters and relationships had been fleshed out even more.

hmm Count of Monte Cristo much?

A lot of similarities to the above mentioned story including the chess piece. But if you can forgive that, it's kind of sweet.
