Wedded and bedded, Lucy is devastated when she's abandoned by her new husband the very next day. Though it was a marriage of convenience, their heated wedding night gave her hope that it would turn into something more. But she refuses to be the demure bride left behind on a country estate while the stranger she married goes gallivanting about London - even if she has to create a scandal of her own.

Simon, the Earl of Devingham, would prefer his exquisite young bride remain at home where he left her. Instead, she follows him to London...seducing him with her fiery kisses, enchanting him with her scorching touches, and awakening in him an insatiable hunger. His duty to the Crown demands that he remain in town, but Lucy has entered a most perilous game - and she will not forfeit without Simon's total surrender.

I’m surprised by some of the negative comments here, as I found this a fun and enjoyable book. I’ll certainly look for others from this author.

Entertaining, enjoyable

Lucy and Simon are a good couple. I liked both (most of the time). Lucy was a little whiny at times but I still liked her. I liked that she was willing to fight for husband when she thought he was having an affair. I liked Simon because from the beginning he cared and was happy with his curvy wife. Unlike most romance books he had no problem telling Lucy how he felt about her. I felt that there was a lot of chemistry and heat between the two. Also enjoyed the supporting characters. I’ll have to check to see if there’s a Fox and Jen book floating around somewhere. The only thing I didn’t like is that Simon’s boss and friend encouraged him to have sex with another women (for the country) when they knew that he was married. I recommend.

A good listen

It was an easy light read/listen. The story was pleasant and good for listening while getting things around the house done. I liked that there was not a lot of drama, tension or angst. The steamy scenes were nice but not memorable. In general I enjoyed the book .
The narrator was good for the book.
