Thunder & Lightning is an endearing story about a beautiful paint horse named Thunder, a Missouri Fox Trotter named Lightning, and an Australian Shepherd named Oreo owned by a woman named Dakota. They live at Sardis Lake in the Kiamichi Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma. She loves to go trail riding and exploring the mountains in Oklahoma, California, New Mexico, and Colorado. Thunder is Dakota's favorite horse and saves Dakota's life while they are trail riding in the mountains. This story is full of fun and adventure in the wild. Ride along with Dakota and her horse though the mountains as she explores the trails and the wildlife on her journey.

This is a book about a woman named Dakota and her many adventures with her favorite horse Thunder. They rescue a woman who had gotten injured hiking, save an abandoned dog and nurse an injured hawk back to health. Thunder also rescues Dakota by alerting her friend that she needs help. My favorite story about the two is when Dakota dresses Thunder up to enter him in a Christmas photo contest. She does a great job and they win!
This book is more like a compilation of many short stories than one full length story. Some of them are longer than others and have a more significant plot. Some don't really have any point to them at all.
One thing that was confusing was Dakota's age. When you first start the book you think that it is about a child but it's really about an adult woman.
The narrator did a nice job reading this book. She spoke clearly and at a steady pace. Her voice suited the story well and made it enjoyable to listen to.
I would recommend this book to people who have young children. The stories are short, almost always involve animals and are easy to follow.

I was gifted a copy of this audiobook by the author/narrator/publisher. This is an unbiased review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
