As a professional writer and accidental barbarian, I should be a prime candidate to be portaled to a LitRPG fantasy world known as Genera. So I do what any writer-turned-barbarian in a fantasy world does—I find someone to team up with. A guild of sorts. Only my new partner-in-crime isn't a person. He's a magical spellbook named Clovis. And while he has many flaws, Clovis may just be the ticket to both of us surviving this mad challenge.

So in a way, this is sort of a LitRPG buddy comedy about two players forced to get good or die trying. But it's also an action-packed true story about my journey through a fascinating new world with surprises around every corner, one that you will have to hear to believe....

A very good listen, great narrators and story.

I love the story and characters, very fun adventure. Can’t wait to see what comes next for Randy and Clovis. Narrators were top notch and inflections matched the characters in my mind. I had previously bought the kindle version but decided to buy the audible version for when I’m driving or otherwise not able to read it.

So Fun you get Lost completely

By the entry point in this book you're already head -first in the MC's Objectives in Cultivating his gifts and acquisitions of items to hone his abilities into becoming a Real badass writer/barbarian.
This Book took me by surprise, I've read all of Harmon Cooper's workings and he truly shows he can do it all again even better as you get addicted to a new growing story! It has the best observations humor and puns too! I can't quite figure out who the MC reminds me of but I've got a few good ideas! ;-)

The best is yet to come in this series!

as funny and great the book read, the audio is even better. the characters come alive and the humor hits even better with the voice acting. really give this a go if you're looking for some action fantasy mixed with a healthy dose of humor.

Reading the book.Clovis bring so much to the story and watching him and Randy grow and bond is such a treat . I find myself laughing out loud so many times throughout this crazy ass adventure! I don’t know how Harmon does it . There’s so many hilarious lines . I honestly can’t recommend this audio book enough .

This book was so good! The story is great, the characters and their voices are awesome, and it's just so funny! I was laugh crying so many times. Can't wait for the next one!
