Ends on a cliffy

I've only read the one book but it ends on a cliffy and definitely has triggers. Otherwise it was written well and is a good CR.

Great book 2! Can't wait to listen to the next

Great performance, especially the male narrator. What a strong & sexy voice. I can't wait to see what happens next & hear more of that smooth & smokey voice. Book 3 hear I come.

Not again!

Katherine's abusive husband found her once again, after two years on the run, having dinner at a charity event hosted by Ben's best friend. Ben didn't know that Tim even existed and is devastated at the secret that Katherine has kept from him. Tim shows Katherine who's boss and, the next morning, she ends up on Ben's front step all battered and bruised. He is sickened that he didn't believe her and is going to fiercely protect her from now on. He is sure he can keep her safe, but Katherine will never trust Tim not to find and hurt her again. Starting to feel a little more in control, as Ben's care and warmth give her a sense of security, she's unaware that Tim has his next step thoroughly planned. Taking a break after her shift at the coffee shop is finished, there's a commotion in the back and Tim is back, threatening her. Just as he raises his hand to strike, Ben comes racing through the door and sees the ugly sight in front of him. Jumping in front of Katherine, he gets a few hits in before the police are called. All of a sudden, he realizes that he's been set up and ends up in the back of the police car. Katherine just can't do this to Ben, nor herself, anymore and it's time to consider a divorce. Amber Bray and Tyler Darby do an excellent job as narrators. Their voices are well-modulated and each character is clearly defined and their personalities shine through.

good books just could have better narrative voices to keep u interested. stuck with the book because it was a good story line and already listened to the other one.
