Honestly is hard

It’s very hard to be honest with your friends, your family, and yourself. It was good to hear an honest story of what life can throw at you and your family.

Tyler did not make him self or anyone out to be a hero or even a villain, but he was direct with the facts of life that many people refuse to see and admit.

Addictions suck, and when you are addicted, you can’t see how it impacts others, you just keep medicating yourself.

I think he addressed his situation that way rather than just pointing his finger at somebody and calling them evil. Very mature attitude and he has processed the situation amazingly.

A story worth being told

I enjoyed the book. It covered some heavy issues that many can relate to, without prescribing what others should do. To me it's refreshing to have someone just tell their story so you can relate it to your own life and not have it turn into a self help book. To be clear, there are examples of what helped the author.

Tyler is one of my favorite youtubers, now a favorite author as well! As he tells the story of his childhood, it almost feels like you grew up next door to him or they were the family everyone knew but didn't know.
