Good classic Sci-Fi.

A good story with unique characters, the start of a diverse universe with unique species and a history worthy of discovery.

Political & military sci-fi

Well developed & unique, at least for me as I’ve not delved much into this territory.

The main character Commander Hoyt must flee with his family after being unfairly accused of treason. His friend/foe Dickson isn’t sure about Hoyt’s culpability.

I’m intrigued enough to want to continue the series.

VERY ENJOYABLE SCI-FI FAMILY DRAMA

STORY IS GOOD WELL WRITTEN AND WAS EASY TO FOLLOW.

ACCEPTABLE FOR PRE-TEENS AND UP.

NARRATOR WAS GOOD AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

Great Sci-Fi Story

I enjoyed this fast-paced science fiction story a lot. Once I started the audiobook, I had to listen until the end. I liked the characters of Keven Hoyt and his family. There was plenty of action. I will be looking for more stories from this author. Steve Barnes' narration was fine, but it took me some time to adjust to his raspy voice. Once I did, I was able to hear the varied voices he provided during his presentation. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
