Dennie Banks is an investigative reporter chasing down the biggest story of her career. Alec Prentice is a government agent working undercover to catch an elusive grifter. When they meet by accident, it’s a case of mistaken identities at first sight. What they don’t mistake is the instant attraction they have for each other, an attraction they’ll do everything in their power to resist - because Dennie thinks that Alec is running interference for her interview subject, and Alec suspects that Dennie is linked to his swindler. As the confusion grows, so do their feelings for each other, and what begins as a romantic comedy of errors may just end in the love affair of a lifetime.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! It's a story that grabs you quickly making you want to listen just a little longer and every chance you get.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dennie by far! She has decisions to make and takes them head on. There's lessons to be learned and she's a very quick and creative study. (Aunt Vic was my second favorite.)

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She puts character and personality in to each person in the story. Angela Dawe is definitely a performer to search out and enjoy in other audiobooks.

Any additional comments?

My daughter recommended this author to me. I've listened to two of them now and looking forward to more as she's definitely an author I'll follow. She keeps her material true-to-life as I could so see this happening to me if I was in her shoes.

This author always pleases. The narration is also good. I enjoyed way it all came together in the end, especially with the author she wanted to interview, but no spoilers.

I really liked this book. My only problem was that I was busy and found that I got confused. The narrative ( Angela Dawe is great) moves very quickly, so you really have to pay close attention. I have read several of Crusie's books - this is one of the best. Enjoy!

Very well done

Fun lively read. Great entertainment, although not high powered literature. The mystery provides a structure and reason for the various characters to interact, but isn't especially compelling. The fun is in the dialog and mistaken identities.

Screwball Rom-Com

I enjoyed this book It's my second time listening to it and I still laughed through parts of it. it's a formula stiry, but it still takes talent to make the formula interesting and more talent to make it funny.

I thought it was funny
