*** Please note that this is NOT Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun *** Midnight Sunburn is a light and reverent parody of Midnight Sun. It's Edward's version of the story, but with added gentle satire and wry humour. Midnight Sunburn shows the unfolding of Edward's fierce love for the mysteriously closed Bella Swan, explains how he overcomes his thirst for her blood, and reveals why he would rather watch her die than transform her into a vampire. It also divulges what Edward uses to paint on his abs, explains why he can’t use smartphones, and gives the reader a glimpse of Carlisle and Esme in WalMart.

Reviews for a previous version of Midnight Sunburn: “I just needed closure. This book provided it delightfully.” “This is exactly what I've been craving as a fan. It's just spectacular.” “Surprisingly good book. Really good job.” “Wow! I would highly recommend to everyone who enjoys the Twilight series to read this.” “Finally someone kind enough to give us loyal fans our due. This book was well worth my time. Truly enjoyed this treat and will tell others about it.” “I have waited so long for this book. I didn't even know it existed. I thankfully stumbled across it yesterday and bought it. This book is EVERYTHING I wanted and then some.”

The story was fun and a great parody that stayed true to the Twilight "story". So worth the listen or read. My problem was the narrator. AI ruined a lot of the fun and "parody" because it did not get the infections right. And it's pronunciation of simple words like Chevy were cringe worthy. How it got Cheevie out of Chevy i will never understand. And the massacre of the local Indian tribes name was disrespectful. I am from an area near Forks, WA and know how it SHOULD be said. Things like that should be corrected before releasing.

Humor makes this story more entertaining. This computer generated voice is tolerable and the parody made the story faster.

Funny, quirky

I didn't love the AI generated voice but it was OK. This started out very funny, a good parody, but somewhere around halfway through I felt like it lost the parody and sort of just became almost a straight narration like midnight sun. It was fun, though.

Fun distraction

I was pleasantly surprised by how well done this was and that it is creative and funny. I did not like the narrator.

Excellent and entertaining and funny

The story is okay although it’s diminished by the robotic, sing-song, too-fake narrative voice. I wish I had not purchased this book.

The AI narrator has effectively killed this book
