One of my new favorites!

You never know what to expect from a first time author, but this debut by Rex Deerman is a real treat. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I read it from start to finish without stopping…couldn’t stop.

The main plot is compelling - it’s the story of a common guy who starts winning big poker hands on a big stage. But the sub-plots are what make this book special. For example (mini spoiler alert), this book features a sex tape gone wrong. It’s surprisingly heartfelt and ultimately a sneaky-sweet love story.

The performer is Dan Levy (looked him up - not the one you’re thinking of). He does a masterful job capturing the tone and the characters, which include my personal favorite, Barry Best - the cowboy-hat wearing, poker bully antagonist.

Do yourself a favor and check this one out!

Never a dull moment

Great escape from normal life leads an average guy to live a life-long poker dream in Vegas where he experiences the best and worst of people and a chance to take home big bucks with his sexy wife by his side.

Surprising and fast paced

Such a great read - interesting characters and well developed plot. I couldn't put it down and look forward to more from this author.
