In 1282, David and his sister Anna crashed through time to save the life of their father, the last Prince of Wales. Thirteen years later, David is a grown man - husband, father, and high king of Britain. He is also the Duke of Aquitaine, a fact which King Philip of France appears to resent.

So, when Philip summons David to Paris to bend the knee for the right to remain Aquitaine's duke, David is the first to suspect treachery. And when he learns Philip is taking advice from Guillaume de Nogaret, mastermind behind the annihilation of the Templars, the expulsion of the Jewish community from France, and the assassination of the pope, he's sure of it.

With not only Aquitaine on the line, but all of Europe, as well, David must call upon 800 years of history only he knows to ensure Avalon's past doesn't become Earth Two's future.

Unbroken in Time will be followed by Outcasts in Time.

I've been listening to the whole series and am used to Laurel S but something happened around Outposts in Time (I found myself not quite happy with the narration and ended up returning it). The next one wasn't that great either. So, even though it was a surprise to have a new narrator, I felt like it might be a good change. Well, this narrator certainly did a great job with this one. I loved various accents of all these different characters. Really enjoyed the narration.

Storywise, what can I say. I am at this point an avid fan! I am totally mesmerized by each story in this series. I've been doing a re-read (and a re-listen) of the entire series and it's a lot of fun. This end in a soft cliff hanger and it's tied up very well in next book. Though I wish the next book is longer.

Loved the new narrator

...until the next book in the series (which I have on Kindle) can have audio added to it! This one exec in a cliffhanger.

Cannot wait...

As with all the books in the series, Unbroken in Time transports me to another time and place, effortlessly weaving fact and fiction into a beautiful and captivating storyline. The narrator brings the characters to life, each one unique and exciting. The accents were amazing, I have never listened to a book with so many amazing accents and I’m obsessed!! I felt like I was there, strolling along the streets of Paris and Aberystwyth! I listened to the book straight through this weekend, couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next one!

Wonderful!!

The author has maintained the quality of the series despite the number of books. It’s always difficult to listen to a new narrator when you’ve fixed the previous narrator’s interpretations of the characters in your mind but this reader is excellent as well.

Great series

I love this series but the new narrator was so bad it was distracting from the story. The acting is so over the top bad that I find myself thinking of that and not the story. Think of the old old movies where the bad guy in the handlebar mustache laughs evilly. That is what this entire 9 hours was like. The accents were so over the top and they did not help much differential between characters. I really miss the old narrator.

Great story, Bad Narration
