Guadalupe, New Mexico, is usually a pretty quiet town. That is until everything starts going to hell with a series of bizarre murders. Not to mention, a demon gives birth at a park. A boy disappears in the middle of a swimming pool. Rattlesnakes invade the town. Asked by his best friend the sheriff to assist in the investigation, Prosecutor Matthew Riley suspects a high-end resort development is at the heart of the crimes. But he also discovers a conspiracy of the living has opened the door for an ancient evil seeking revenge for old and new betrayals that threaten his own family.

Supernatural elements driving a detective investigation. There's hardly anything original here and the story doesn't break grounds, but overall can be a fairly enjoyable passtime.

A clearly-voiced narration if a bit cartoonish at times, especially when delivering few of the secondary characters' voices.

The story is unique with it's own imaginative lore. I really enjoyed the whole story all the way through. The characters were dynamic, with great moments of tension. I won't give spoilers but this is a great no cookie cutter story. I will be looking for more from this author

Thank goodness not another cookie cutter story.

This was a very good listen/read and kept my interest all the way through. I have never before read anything from this author and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Set it Guadalupe, New Mexico. The book starts with the birth of a demon and keeps building from there. Certain things would happen "Under the Blood Moon". It has elements of friendship and family - not just horror. You just want to keep listening to know what happens next.

The narrator did an excellent job and really brought the characters and world to life. I loved how he used different voices and made the story exciting. I didn't like the slight pause every few words in a sentence, but you can check that out for yourself in the sample. The pauses could be because the original text is full of commas, so I won't hold that against the performance. It WAS a performance not just someone reading off a page

I requested and received a copy of this book to provide a review. No obligation was made to have that review be positive or negative - it's my honest opinion.

Under the Blood Moon is a well written horrifying tale that will give you chills down your spine. The characters are well developed and some are likeable while others are not the same way it is in real life. The storyline may feather out in different ways but it all comes back to good vs evil and who will be the victor. I love how the author used different scenarios to portray the evil that is creeping through this small town. If you like to be scared I highly recommend this book to you if you are over 18.
I received this book for free upon my request but it has no bearing on my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition.
