So good, I couldn't stop listening!

I was in the mood for a good romantic suspense and Penny Zeller delivered one that I could not stop listening to. And I made the mistake of starting it when I went to bed! Mila is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Witnessing a murder, she barely makes it to the police station without being run off the road and it triggers a series of dangerous events. But Mila is under the protection of Roark Brenneman! That should keep her safe, right? The Brenneman family is there for Mila every step of the way as the suspect list is developed and the depth of the danger grows. So many good things in this one. Mila is a fabulous character. Scared but strong, empathetic to her friends and wonderful with Roark's nephew she is truly a good person. Roark is that protective man, loyal to his family and impossible not to fall for. This is a fantastic, suspenseful story, so get under the blanket and get ready to listen!

Emily Norman is phenomenal as the narrator. Able to switch between male and female characters, old and young, evil and sweet, she easily creates the characters throughout the story. Each scene is just the right amount of emotion and building suspense. I loved her!

Wonderful Audiobook!

A wonderful audiobook with a great plot and great narrator.
Nurse Mila is witness to a murder and of course all kinds of complications come along with that knowledge.
I loved the plot and the characters were great. I got to know them and felt their anguish trying to find out who was behind the murder and other things that were happening. Her life was in danger but so were the people she was staying with. That brings me to the character Roarke. At first I didn’t like Roarke a whole lot but he did grow on me and I really enjoyed their story.
If you like Christian Romantic Suspense you will love this book.
