There is no respite for BD, Deano and the others as the reanimating virus continues to spread.

They need to balance finding food, water, and other essential supplies with safety.

Today, their plans go up in smoke.

An outbreak, an enemy from the past, and a looming catastrophe strike a triple blow to the heart of their small community.

Death stalks them. He lurks in the shadows and around every corner. Before night falls, he’ll be carting fresh souls away; but they might be the lucky ones.

With that title, and my rating I suggest that if you like Romero and wished you could continue with Peter and Fran story from Dawn of the Dead, you need this zombie apocalypse in your life.
I have bought all of them and can't wait for the next one to be released, because I NEED more of the RAM universe!

I read a lot of books in the zombie apocalypse genre. My favorites are those written by Christopher Artinian and his latest book is no exception. This book is so much more than just zombies. The author has created a great group of characters that the reader comes to know and love (or hate as the case may be). There is plenty of zombie action and survival, but the true greatness of the book is the interactions between the characters as they face the horrors of what is happening.

The cast of characters includes gangsters/thugs/ex-cons, a former stripper, a retired actor and their family members and friends. You meet an out of shape middle-aged woman, a few pensioners, a teenager now on her own, and a man with early stage dementia. I loved the dialogue between characters and the author always manages to throw some humor into these encounters, no matter how dire the circumstances.

Along the way, there are some poignant deaths that will have you reaching for a tissue or two. There is plenty of emotion involved as loved ones succumb to the zombie horde. But, the addition of Derek, the retired actor, always brightens the mood with his great anecdotes and quips.

There is also a second storyline involving Prime Minister Beck and his family and staff that ties in well with the Safe Haven series. The true horrors that Beck has to face in the decisions he makes might make you appreciate the things that face those in charge during a crisis.

As always, the narrator, Kim Bretton, does a fantastic job and her performance makes an already amazing book even better. Her voices are so spot-on that you know who is talking just by their individual accents and inflections. This author's works are always the ones I suggest when someone is looking for the next great zombie book.

This branch of the storyline has been announced interesting tale to hear. I have enjoyed the ups and cried with the downs. I really like the snippets of back story for Beck and his entourage. Kim had done another awesome job. Impatiently waiting the next installment. 😉

Another fantastic Entry in the Series

Book 3 was a perfect continuation of Christopher Artinian’s epic saga.
As always tension stays high, the characters are well written and the story leaves, you satisfied, but wanting more.

Kim’s narration is one of the best out there hands down.
I highly recommend doing a deep dive on Chris’s work. You won’t be disappointed.

Christopher and Kim have once again brought to life the story of Dino and BD and the rest of the cast. As with any of Christophers books, we are left wanting more. There is a reason he is so successful. He has an imagination that is endless. How many other Authors could create 3 separate series in the same world and keep people begging for more? And to have found gold in Kim as narrator is just the best for us fans. She is amazing at voices and brings each book to life.

Such an amazing duo
