The reanimating virus left billions dead. The UK and Ireland remained safe. Until now. Deano and BD, a father and son a universe apart. Nothing in common. Not wanting anything in common. But today all that will change. Bedlam has been unleashed. The streets are swarming with infected and survival is all that matters. To make it, they’re going to have to trust each other, depend on each other, fight for each other like they never have before. The city is bleeding. Nowhere is safe. Will they find refuge before nightfall or is it already too late? One thing’s for sure.

In the space of 24 hours, the world as we knew it was over. The reanimating virus had swept through the streets like a tsunami. Relentless undead creatures took over the cities. Their only aim was to add to their ranks, to spread the plague that had ravaged the rest of the world. For BD, his family and the small band of survivors who escaped the first wave, time is running out. Their safe harbour could soon become a prison.

There is no respite for BD, Deano and the others as the reanimating virus continues to spread. They need to balance finding food, water, and other essential supplies with safety. Today, their plans go up in smoke. An outbreak, an enemy from the past, and a looming catastrophe strike a triple blow to the heart of their small community. Death stalks them. He lurks in the shadows and around every corner. Before night falls, he’ll be carting fresh souls away; but they might be the lucky ones.

When BD, Deano and the others escaped to the school, they hoped for a moment’s respite. But nothing was further from their reach. A misjudgement of trust, a plan gone awry and the ever-expanding legions of the undead filling the streets mean they’re forced to act fast to avoid a fresh disaster. But haste and safety rarely make good bedfellows and their bid for a new start will come at a cost. Will this be the end for them all? Or can they fight on to live another day?
