Amelia knows where her parents are, and now it's time to go get them. But will this be the end of her 14-year quest? Not likely!

If she can rescue her parents, that will only be the first step into a much larger world. A world where everything is not as it seems and even the staunchest allies may be enemies. Amelia has one shot to stop a maniac bent on world domination. If she misses, tyranny will be the least of her problems.

This was an exceptional read with powerful imagery. The most realistic, powerful superhero reading I truly enjoyed. A must read for all who love heroes or aspire to be a super hero. Enjoy!!

Outstanding Writing

It didn't consume all my attention but it was a good clean read and I will read another.

Good entry in this series.

I’m loving getting to experience this series on audio for the first time! Arsenal is easily my favorite series and superhero I have read, with Kid Sensation and Sophia Denison (Freedom) coming close!
She has such an amazing mind for innovation and a special heart to guide it. I really like how Haskell keeps the character development going. Along with the technological advances and the improvements with her armor!
The characters that surround Arsenal are also pretty cool. Especially Kate and Carlos. But the others are fun as well.
I remember some of how jaw-dropping the moment when the ultimate plot was revealed… back when I first read this… it’s mind boggling when you think of the scope it would take. I’ll stop there to not give anymore specifics away.

This book marked the end of a status quo and I’m looking forward to the next book!

Thank you Haskell for this amazing series and an even more spectacular MC! Thank you Voice Queen Beresford for another great experience!

All hail Voice Queen Beresford!

These are great short stories. Despite the short listen time the characters are fully developed and you care about them. The overall plot is great too with high stakes.

Great story and even better character development

3.5 stars

As is traditional with superhero books (comic and otherwise), the first book was mostly origin story and setting up the overarching plot. In this book we see good development of all the plotlines from the first book.

There is some character development for most of the main cast (and the addition of a new cast member), but the development is shallow. It seems that Arsenal has decided to accept the responsibilities of being a real hero, so we don't get much in the way of internal struggle about that this time. And the plots get much more complex and interesting, including the first appearance of what seems will be the true series antagonist.

The dialogue and internal monologue are both noticeably better than in Vol. 1, though they're still not a strength of this book. And again we get very rapid increase in Arsenal's power.

The narrator did a better job with this volume than the first volume, with fewer misunderstandings of basic terminology. And either she is better at her voices or I'm less bothered now that I've had time to get used to them.

Again, this was a rather wild ride through a fast-moving story. And even with its flaws, I plan to continue with the next volume very soon.

Fun, Fast Read
