New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands brings the heat in this new Argeneau novel, as one woman is rescued by an irresistible immortal …

“Vampires...”

When Raffaele Notte pulls a barely dressed, disoriented woman from the ocean, the last thing he expects is for her to utter that word. The immortal has come to the island resort to help his cousin, but now, it seems, there are rogue vampires dining on unsuspecting tourists. And he soon realizes that not only is Jess a target, she’s also the life mate he’s been waiting for…

Vampires are real. Jess would’ve never believed it until she saw them with her own eyes. She knows she has to get off the island, and her gallant rescuer has offered to help. There’s something about Raffaele that’s unlike any man she has ever met, and his touch sends pleasure through her that is beyond all imagining. But when Jess discovers who he really is, will she risk life as she knows it for a chance of forever by his side?

Loved it

I liked the storyline, it was a bit different and explored a concept in the argenue storyline that hadn't been deeply covered before. I however didn't love the narration and found it distracted from the story. I have listened to the whole series and found this one a bit monotone at the start and hard to keep interested.

Great story dynamic however narration was distracting from story

Whoa…two life-mates at the same time. That’s new!! I always thought that the nano’s chose people that were well suited. The pirate, Vasco, being a pig makes him completely unsuitable to Jess. Raphaele is well suited but he is too much of a gentleman to move as fast as necessary. There’s the issue with her being turned off by vampires too. Great book ‼️

She them Vampirates,Hysterical!

To a large degree this story wasn’t like most other Argeneau novels. There is actually very little focus on the immortal aspect of the characters until the very end other than mind reading and some life mate romance.
The accent for the captain and for the Notte’s was relatively good, but for Jessica it was blah. It took a bit to get used to listening to the narration in general.
I did end the book wondering if anything good will be found for Vasco when he visits for the wedding being discussed. He was wonderful and I think I liked him better than Raffaele.

I love Vasco

I did not care for the Narrator. He was to bland for me. I did like the story though.
