Yesterday, Valoria’s biggest worry was getting her little sister to school. Today, she wakes up a captive on a private island run by the world’s most powerful criminals.

Drugged, transported, and sold into a sadistic game where wealthy elites indulge their darkest appetites, Valoria is forced into a brutal training regime designed to break her body, her identity, and her will. Here, captives aren’t people—they’re assets. And the only way to survive is to fight, bleed, and obey.

When Valoria learns her sister has also been taken—and will face an even worse fate—everything changes. Her only chance to reach her is to climb the ranks of the operation, mastering every savage skill her cold, watchful handler demands while secretly plotting escape.

To win freedom, Valoria must become exactly what the island wants: A weapon. A killer. One of them. But as the lines blur between survival and savagery, Valoria must confront the darkest question of all—If becoming a monster is the only way to save the person she loves most…how much of herself is she willing to sacrifice?

Loved the entire book from beginning to end. S.E. Green, knows how to spin a twisted and disturbing story.

Viscous

Much of the story line reminded me of the Hunger Games, while the forced actions and “slaves” made me think of a Handmaids Tale. It’s not a book I would typically choose, but it was highly recommended to me. I didn’t care for it, but pushed through and finished it, wanting to know how it ended.
