What does Jack Garrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

character and style. I have heard others on western audiobooks and Jack is the best I think

Don’t need the cuss words

The cowboys didn’t use cuss words, not a great idea to bring 2021 vulgar words int the 1800’s West. It’s distracting from the storyline.

Good grief, do some research

I enjoy these stories but for pity sake, quit changing the history of how things happened and quit using the other books as filler material.

Vengeance of the Mountain Man

Another great book about Smoke. In this book one of Smoke's past enemy's is coming to get even. This book shows how much Smoke's hometown stands behind him. There is plenty of action and adventure in it. Also Cal and Pearly goes to help Smoke and you hear from some old mountain man. This is a five star book worth listening to a second and third time. You don't mess with Smoke Jensen!

There hasn't been all but one book that I haven't enjoyed and this was another good one. I like that Smoke us the last mountain man and that the older mountain man cone to his aid when the need arises.
