Chocolate!

I loved this book! So lovely to know Vianne’s origin story and the wonderful sensory elements of spice and scent and taste and magic! And love.
I normally am not pleased with the author narrating the audiobook, but in this case, Joanne’s voice as Vianne with her beautiful French accent is so evocative with its tenderness and kindness and care. Just perfect for this audiobook.
I find myself craving chocolate and the spice mix! And now I’m off to reread Chocolat!!

I can’t adequately express how much Vianne has meant to me over these years, since I very first saw and then listened to Chocolat. I’ve eat her up more with every book. And now, imagining the origins of Vianne, has been “my favorite.” But she knew it would be.

Loved how Vianne could make people happy.

A lot of unexpected twists and turns, to arrive at the end.

Didn’t want it to end.. authors voice and her writing are as smooth as chocolate! Really, really enjoyed.

Made Me Crave Chocolate

Loved all the descriptions of the dishes Vianne prepares. Loved the magic of the chocolate. Love the reader’s accent. I felt like I was there with Vianne in a wonderful village.
