The author, John Aubrey Kramien (1882-1980), was the grandson of Sebastian Brutcher, Sr., an Oregon Pioneer of 1849, who built his homestead on his 'Donation of Land' and was responsible for the naming of the town of Newberg. Oregon. John Kramien grew up in the red hills of Oregon living in a log cabin with a dirt floor for a year. From this background he gleaned the inspiration and material to write Wagons of Destiny and his earlier book, The Saga of the Red Hills of Oregon (1963).

Very good narration.

Wagons of Destiny is a hidden gem in the world of audiobooks. The seamless narration, coupled with a gripping story, makes it a standout in the western genre. If you're looking for an audiobook that will transport you to another time and place, this is it.

A satisfying conclusion.

The ending tied up all the loose ends and left me feeling satisfied. I can't wait to listen more from the author.

A Slow Start, But Worth the Wait.

The beginning of "Wagons of Destiny" felt a bit slow, taking some time to establish the characters and setting. However, once the story got rolling, I was hooked.
