State cop Bill Tasker has had problems in the past, but nothing compared to what's about to happen to him. A satchel with a million and a half in skimmed money is about to go walking. A phony community activist has decided to cash in, but a local FBI agent also has his eyes on the prize, a key witness gets murdered, and it's Tasker who ends up framed for the whole thing.

Soon, other people become seduced by the cash as well, and as the satchel passes from hand to hand and the body count mounts, Tasker realizes it's all up to him. If he doesn't retake his life, someone's going to do it for him.

This is a very good mystery. I dont like it when the main character is framed. But this one was good. There is a big bank robbery. Pulled off perfectly. The money changes hands many times. They frame Bill. This is a five star mystery book. It held my interest from start to finish. Gene Engene does a great job narrating this book.

Good. Not great. Kept my interest. Had a unique style. Humorous at times. Most characters were not stereotypes.

Good story

I very much enjoyed this book. Not only did it teach me quite a bit about "police mentality", but I laughed out loud many, many times at the witty humor.

Enjoyed it!
