She’s scrappy and pure sunshine.

He’s a 1,000-year-old vampire.

Together they’re magic.

Ever had life kick you in the teeth after it first stopped to shove you down the stairs?

Yep. This used to be the story of my life.

Until one day I saw an ad in the paper that changed everything—Wanted: Vampire’s Assistant. The list of qualifications that followed the listing for the job were ridiculous. Sturdiness? Not prone to fits of terror? Who posted stuff like this? Assuming it was a prank ad, I sent a very pointed email to the person who wrote it—Mr. Draven Leto…and immediately got a reply asking me to apply for the job.

My scepticism didn’t last beyond a single phone call. I mean, someone taking over your body is something that’s difficult to refute. So now I’m on a plane heading for a place called Moonhaven Cove, somewhere off the coast of Oregon. A town hidden from humans. A town I get to enter because I’m not quite human myself.

And my interview with Draven Leto, billionaire CEO of Leto Enterprises? Well, let’s just say it was life-changing.

Wanted: Vampire’s Assistant is part of my new Moonhaven Cove series. The books in the series can be listened to on their own, but are more enjoyable if you listen to them in order. If you’re looking for clean paranormal romance with swoony kisses, snappy dialogue, funny and heartwarming characters, and plenty of suspense and action, you’ve found the right place.

Welcome to Moonhaven Cove.

The narrator reads in a very stilted manner sounding like a college freshman earning a few bucks complete with some mispronunciation. Story is frothy and silly but pretty fun.

I really liked this take on the paranormal world. It was truly an engaging read and while there most definitely was chemistry between the main characters the author didn't take it too far. It was a fun read and can't wait for the next in the series to be made into an audiobook!

Refreshing

So based on the actual plot arc, this isn’t a romance. The romance part is just a side-piece of the main storyline. The fighting / action scenes involving the duo outnumbered and were more substantial than the ones, and I even think the heroine has more back-and-forth interactions with her male best friend than with her romantic interest. The *point* of this story isn’t the pairing falling in love; it’s the heroine getting to know herself. That can make for a perfectly fine story, but that’s not a romance novel.

Beyond that, this really just felt like a true blood fanfic that wasn’t particularly gripping. I won’t be reading this author again.

Where was the anticipation? The yearning? Where is the romance?

The author and narrator tried. It was ok to say the best, the narration was like a college student in a sound booth. Storyline was just ok, listened till the end in hopes it got better. I won't be listening to the other books in series.

The narrator had wonderful tone and easy to listen. However it felt monotone. The emotion was very subtle. It was kinda hard to listen to. Add to this the writing was a little stilted which was magnified by the narrator. The story was awesome and that kept me listening. But I won’t be able to do the next volumes which sucks cause the story was good.

Sorry good. Writing and narration not great
