Having escaped from the tower, Bradley and his company were transported to a random destination within Arcana.

With nothing more than the sun and a stiff wind to lead them, they make their way back to Abyss, where the undercurrents of war had long begun to brew. Iron Fist Thorken, a Brigadier General with a lust for war, has already taken a seat within Abyss and commanded its men to set off against their enemies. Bradley returns as merely a pawn thrown into the turbulent winds of Arcana.

not an impressive book but at least no hour of the book taken up by a preview of the next.

At least no preview this time

A couple of hours in an it still feels like
It’s just starting. He is still doing that thing where he over explains everything. Telling you things like there was no comfort in way. It was cruel reality, blah blah blah. This isn’t a one off thing. EVERYTHING is over examined and over explained to the point of getting in the way of what turns out to be a VERY short story. It takes about an hour for some soldiers to go from
Inside a fortress to right outside due to explaining everything that makes up the parts of marching, roles pf soldiers, what the difference in veterans and rookies are and just other general stuff that you never need to go into detail about. It’s a massive time sync and a cheap gimmick to buffer the book.

Only about 2 hrs of actual content

A lot of filler feels like I could’ve have fast forwarded to at least the midpoint without missing anything

No real progression
