This book is one of the most important parenting & discipleship I've read. Voddie Baucham's biblical perspective challenges parents to rethink how they're shepherding their sons and daughters instead of following the cultural norms.

As a young 39yr old man with an 18yr old daughter I always had a picture in my mind of what it would look like to chaperone my daughter into marriage. I had no clue how ill prepared I was. This book has taken away a great amount of fear and has given me confidence to use God’s Word as the only path to proceed through this process. I thank Dr. Baucham Jr. for putting in the work to bring this understanding to men like myself who are willing to listen to and learn what is pleasing to God in reference to being a man of God and giving away our daughters in marriage.

Excellent Biblical teaching on a complicated subject

Dr. Baucham teaches in a clear, understandable way what is God’s true design for marriage. Furthermore, he unpacks what is one of the most difficult parts of marriage in describing the Biblical roles of husband and wife. Voddie helps us understand the qualities of Biblical manhood, and I now feel we have an excellent outline for not only raising our son but for helping our daughters marry well, so they may experience a blessed, joyful union!
This is one of those books I wish I had read years ago, and will refer to in the years to come for my own marriage, training our children, and Lord willing, our future grandchildren! This book will help build a lasting legacy! Highly recommend.
