"Marry me."

"What?" I stared back at him, unblinking.

He moved closer, taking my face in his hands. "I love you, Evie. I look into the future, and the only thing I see clearly is you. Marry me."

What's an 18-year-old girl who was madly in love with her 19-year-old boyfriend say? Of course, I said yes.

Twenty-four hours later, I married Adam Gunner at a Vegas chapel to the sounds of "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi. Not the best omen. I get that now.

Then, exactly one week later, I left him. I walked out, leaving behind my wedding ring, annulment papers, and my heart, and he never knew why. I haven't seen him since. Not in 10 long years.

Now, he's here, standing before me. Looking at me with nothing but hurt and hatred in his eyes, he wants answers. Answers I can't give.

These two really have their ups and downs. But are they will to fight for a HEA? The narration on this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone

At first I quit listening, I felt like it took forever to get going and I wasn’t really impressed. It got better but it was definitely a book I could leave and come back to later without being in a hurry or having to pay really close attention.

Started very slow

This story was disappointed. I listened to the whole story and I’m shaking my head one hour before it ended. I couldn’t believe this story kept dragging until the end! The narrators were the only reason made that I listened to the end.

I had read this story about a year ago and I loved it but I felt like something was lost in the audiobook.

This is a great second chance romance story, we get the back story, the current story, emotional depth very steamy love scenes and loveable characters. However, Evie's reason for leaving was incredibly predictable and Adam could be a real jerk sometimes. But that's what made the story seem so real. It simply two people who are hurt but still love each other and are clumsily trying to find a way to navigate their feelings.

I was not fond of the voice actors. I would just read the book.

Overall I enjoyed this story, but it would've been better had I read the book vs. listening to the audible version. I just wasn't impressed with the narrators... Other the male narrator's voice sounds great as a guy; It felt as though he was trying to hard to sound like a girl, which made the voice come across as a transvestite. The female narrator was good overall, just not enough distinction between the female characters.
The story drags a bit in the beginning, but the ending was great. I could definitely picture this story becoming a gritty "chick flick" (right mix of comedic timing, drama, sex, and adult content)

"Chick Flick" Material!
