Things are looking up for Addison Holmes. She's about to take her P.I. exams, she's living in sin with the man of her dreams, and she hasn't had a phone call from her mother in three whole days. But she should have known things were too good to last.

When Rosemarie Valentine's fingerprints are found on the murder weapon used to kill a sex shop owner, it's up to Addison and the gang to clear her name before Rosemarie is thrown in the pokey with no hope of getting out again.

With the help of Nick, Savage, Kate, and Addison's mom and sister, what could possibly go wrong?

I prefer Liliana Hart's JJ Graves to Addison Holmes. Audible calls this modern detective, but it is chick lit. It's not my cup of tea, but it is funny and only 5 hours in length. The novel is set in the Savannah Georgia area. Addison is working on passing her PI exams when her friend is indicted for murder. Her real focus is almost totally on her sex/love life as well as that of her mother, sister, and friend.

The book is written in the first person. The narration is especially good. The narrator is from the mid west, but her southern accent is perfect.

Crude but funny chick lit

This is a funny and enjoyable mystery. I enjoy the characters and their antics. The only I didn't enjoy was the love triangle. I find it to be a distraction to an otherwise good story.

Funny and enjoyable
