Wind as an ally

In opening my heart to lessons from Wind, I found it in “Winds of Spirit: Ancient Wisdom Tools for Navigating Relationships, Health, and the Divine” by Renee Baribeau.

Her book is wealth of wind knowledge, a resource for shamanic practices and a tool for personal and spiritual guidance. I appreciate the book for its initial informative value and will be referring to it many more times as I continue to embrace the varying winds life sends my way.

Spellbinding

The Wind—literally, metaphorically, philosophically, and spiritually—is the driving force or energy, as Renee Baribeau puts it, of our human existence, beginning with our first breath and ending with our last breath.

In The Winds of Spirit, well known shaman and writer Renee Baribeau has gone to the four corners of the earth to bring us back news of the winds. Her research has been methodical, meticulous and profound. The result is a fascinating read on the life giving and life changing role of the wind or winds in the human existence and beyond, of the role of the wind or winds in the creation and ongoing existence of our Universe and our planet. However riveting, this is merely one aspect of this spellbinding book whose core purpose is to function as a guide of shamanic practice for aspiring and experienced shamans alike, in utilizing the power of winds for transformation and healing. I was captivated from the start by this deeply personal and yet monumental depiction of the forces that move and shake our existence and has inspired and captivated the human imagination for millennia. What can I say? I recommend this book to anybody who is spiritually inclined. Go and read it and be moved by the winds of change. Chapeau!

beautifully written

Beautiful book, like nothing I’ve ever read.

I listen to the author’s podcast, The Shaman’s Cave, which motivated me to listen to this book. I found it beautiful, thought provoking, and a wonderful tool!
I felt the narrator went rather quickly and didn’t give the book the emotion it required, but still a very worthwhile listen!
