An NFL King and Mafia Princess ignite the pages...

Conner Wiseman was once my only friend—until a cruel accident made him forget me. All through high school, I watched him, the boy of my dreams, longing for him to see me standing there. Then, one night, he noticed me in a big way. But only for one night. For that, I hated him. So I decided to make him hate me back.

Fast forward ten years, and now Conner is the city's most beloved football hero, while I'm known as the cold-blooded heiress to my father's criminal empire. The grim truth about Conner's legend hides behind his golden boy smile, and I'm trapped in a violent, high-stakes world I despise.

Maybe the past was always going to catch up to us. We have unfinished business. An old score to settle.

Now Conner thinks he knows what he's getting into with me. He doesn't. I think I know how to keep from falling for him. I don't. He has always been my weakness. I will be his downfall.

After all, a story like ours could never be simple. No, this will be the messiest one of all...

Wise is the third installment of the Wicked West Rejects trilogy by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Brent. Can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I was sad for it to be over as I usually am when I like the story and characters. This last one was a little too repetitive especially in the beginning, assume it was intentional for those who didn't listen to the other stories. Narrators did such a good job, especially the male voice he sounded differant in each story, taking on their differant personalities. So hoping that there will be a Charlotte story??she was adorable!

Such a Great series!

I can't say enough good things about this series. I don't know when I've enjoyed a series so much. these cousins, the wicked west rejects, are 3 of the absolute best male characters I've ever read. super narrators for the series. absolutely worth your time and audible credits. just a really great series.

just fantastic!

Connor and Havan's story is really good and the narrators are excellent. I loved listening to Micah's little sister. She is a smart little firecracker. She needs her own story...maybe with Robert? 🤭 Some of the story was just a bit ridiculous and the author did not think through her plot very well, like the idea of the head of the gang willingly going to jail to appease the police and lawyers. Mafia, gangs, they don't care what police and lawyers think about them. If they don't have the evidence to put them away, it isn't happening. And IF an agreement such as was in this book would actually occur, the head of the gang would NEVER willingly allow himself to be behind bars. He'd send one of his nephews in his place or one of his brothers, but never himself. Also, the idea that Haven did not know the first thing about hand to hand fighting but somehow made it years without getting into a fight is so stupid. She should have known how to take down her cousins, not be a sitting duck for them. And Haven would never have been so stupid as to set her gun down or to fall for her cousin's wife's bs. It was so obvious a blind person could see it coming. It's like Haven lost all her wits just because she started dating Connor. I didn't like that part. The author took a badass female character and turned her into a damsel in distress who forgot everything she knew about staying alive just so there could be more drama in the story. It was really ridiculous and not thought out well. Also, a hospital would never release a patient before they gained conscience. I liked the book up until the point where she stupidly put her gun down and fell for the obvious trick. I liked the book after she woke up at home, which everyone knows would never happen, she would still be in the hospital. That's why I gave it 4/5 stars. The love story between Connor and Haven was nice to read/listener to. The actors did an EXCELLENT job.

Good Story, Excellent Narrators

Every one of her female leads are so stupid it hurts. They couldn’t survive a group of kindergarteners without getting themselves in trouble.

Can’t stand the female leads
