The feisty foe that Zara Riddle first met in The Wilds is now a member of the family, but all is not quite right at the Mystery Mansion.
Zara misses the good ol' days of chasing ghosts and getting chewed up by carnivorous plants, sea monsters, natural disasters, and even the ground itself.
When an investigation does come along, Zara jumps at the chance to use her magic, since she's better at that than cooking. The whole coven gets in on the action, and no sooner have they started than they lose Zara.
Of course Zara doesn't think she's lost at all. If anything, she finds herself right where she was always meant to be. That's how destiny works, right?
How is she ever going to reconcile her dream life with her real one? And which is which, anyway?
This is book 17 in the Wisteria Witches Mysteries series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, or in the order the books were released.

All the characters have so much depth.
I am glad Margaret got to shine some. She is a character.
Zara gets it done with a little help from her friends.

One of things I noticed in this book series is that there are some tendrils of storylines that seem to be missing an explanation(s) or it just goes from one thing to another without you realizing it. Perhaps it’s just me, but I have had to re-listened to a few chapters just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
That said, the story starts off slow, but instantly becomes more interesting at a certain point. It also doesn’t give an you any idea of what happened unless you remember certain details in the previous chapters & maybe even previous stories in the series.
I did enjoy this book, actually more than I expected. I do hope the next book is released soon, as I would like to see where it goes from here. I’m sure Zara will find trouble lurking nearby as she seems to be a giant magnet for that kind of stuff. Lol!
Enjoyable & Fun
