Someone's green thumb has turned red with blood when an elf is found dead, strangled by vines, in the middle of a garden shop. Now it's up to Lola and her friends to find the culprit while also keeping a careful watch on their human friend, Erin, now that the International Magic Assembly agents are on the trail!

Can they find a way to get Erin back to his home in 1960's America, a mystical land of magic-less creatures?

A cute set of characters within a very short story.
This is a ongoing series that I found sweet and a positive reader for the YA readers.

I would consider this YA reading 📚

This series is back on track! I didn’t love book 4 so much but this is one of my favorites. Narrator sounds great too!

A real gem

Okay, so I really like this series. It's fun and cute, short but interesting. This whole world is intriguing, and each story builds on the previous one. But I'm really starting to wish I'd just read these books, rather than listen to them. Five books in, I expect much better. First off, I understand the need for reviews. I understand how important they are. But interrupting the book with an author's appeal for reviews is exceedingly annoying. Especially as these are very short and I tend to binge listen them. Usually I will listen to audiobooks more than once, but interruptions like this make me reconsider doing that.
Second, although she is getting better, the narrator continues to pause in strange places. It disturbs the flow of the sentence and ultimately the story. And finally, sometimes the narrator attempts voices, sometimes she doesn't. Make a choice! And when she does voices, they don't seem to fit the character.
Good story, but I'm not impressed with this narrator.
