Engaging

The narrator's vocal animation and emotion pulled me into the story from the beginning. I felt the suspense and excitement through her voice. The story was engaging, but predictable.

I really enjoyed this audiobook! Incredibly gripping story! Ms. Dean writes a gripping suspense that is every mother's nightmare. The characters are well-drawn and surprising. Even some of the bad guys had likable personalities. The narrator was fabulous!

Gripping Story

What would you do to save the lives of the people you love? That is a question that China must ask herself when a group of bank robbers invade her life.

I had a difficult time turning the book off after my workouts (which is when I listen to audio books) and sometimes I would workout even longer, just to see what happens next. The cast of characters were well developed and not one sided. While there was cursing in the book, it wasn't used for shock value, but added to the characters. There is violence, but it works within the context of the story.

I can not recommend this book enough to anyone who love suspense or thrillers, with a little romance thrown in for good measure.
