In Fellion, monsters are everywhere—almost. Still, it's enough that the world teeters on the brink of collapse, and survival depends on one thing: leveling up. Fortunately, Eli has an irascible dead wizard guiding him on his path to power. One who claims to once have been nearly omnipotent—but, now that he's dead, he offers his humble advice for free. Hopefully, he knows what he is talking about...

Battles, crafting, and chaos await at every turn—and in a land this dangerous, cleverness, skill, and a bit of luck might be the only things keeping him alive.

Wizard of Miral hooked me right away with its unique world-building and fast-paced storytelling. A sentient artifact controlling an entire world, unstable wizards responsible for its creation, and monster hordes threatening everything—it’s the perfect recipe for chaos, adventure, and unforgettable tension. The leveling system feels fresh and fun, and the stakes just keep rising with every chapter.

What I loved most is how immersive the world is. The magic system is clever, the characters feel alive, and the sense of danger never lets up. If you enjoy fantasy with world-ending threats, unpredictable magic, and a plot that never stands still, this book is a must-read. I’m already excited for Book 2.

I loved everything about this story! This was my first experience reading this type of genre and it was fun to see the development of the characters, the very unique abilities of the characters and the story line took a very unexpected turn, which was refreshing. The narrator was fabulous and a perfect fit for this story. It was also so wonderful to read a book that was family friendly. I can’t wait for the next book!

This book was a curious mixture of monsters, magic, and mundane things like sourdough starter. As characters, I loved the Landry family and Jarend. But I appreciated Jack's redemptive qualities the most. The story felt like a "stand alone" with such limited interaction with the wizards' council, which seemed more incidental than truly integral to the plot. The power and presence of the Rule, while shown in constant status reports, left loose strings for me. How is all this going to fit together? Hopefully everything will become more linked in Book 2. The performance was high quality.

I enjoyed the fast pace and the motif that sometimes you don’t get what you want but you may get something you need.
