In a seductive new shape shifter romance from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Anne Marsh, to take over a local pack Cajun werewolf Jace Jones must first take a mate...but she wants nothing to do with a big, bad biker who sometimes turns furry.

"'You don't have to do anything. I'm gonna take care of everything.' I mean it, too. While sinking my dick inside her tops my current wish list, I also intend to make this good for her. She's had a shit deal in life, and I absolutely want to kiss her better. The way I see it, all she has to do is enjoy. I'll do all the rest. I'm practically a Boy Scout and she can pin the medal to my goddamned chest later. First, I have my mate to kiss." - Jace Jones

To keep the peace between two rival wolf packs, Cajun werewolf Jace Jones agrees to become the alpha of The Breed pack and motorcycle club. There's just one catch: he needs to mate the former alpha's daughter and he's damned certain she hasn't chosen him. His new mate is sweet and sexy as sin, but she's also been brutalized by the pack and the last thing she needs is one more wolf in her life. But before he can take his place as leader of the Breed, he'll have to teach his woman her place...in the club, in his arms, and in his heart.

Werewolf bikers? Pass. Keelie Sue Berard has spent a lifetime trapped in the motorcycle club's misogynistic world, first as the alpha's daughter and then as a mate. She's kept her mouth shut and her head down trying to survive, so she'll do whatever it takes to walk away free to live her own life. But Jace terrifies her. He protects her. He owns her. And now he wants her.

At first I wasn’t really sure about the narrator’s voices, then as I listened to the female narrator more I found her voice really engaging and interesting. The two of them together told a really great story. I wish there was more “story” to the story but it was short and sweet and good.

Very interesting...

I actually really enjoyed this book, which is surprising, seeing as I don’t usually like mega alpha dudes or shifters. But Marsh did a grand job of balancing out Jace Jones’ personality and making him not only believable, but like-able, which also goes for narrator Levine who helped bring the character from paper to what felt like real life. Especially with that laugh/chuckle, which for some reason also made me laugh. And then there is deWard who breathed life into our quiet heroin, giving her a reserve and inner strength that only a woman who has been through hell and back could have. I truly appreciated her voice to the character. That aside, my favorite part about this entire book was the fact that it’s shifters who are bikers, AND the great cunninglingus!

Pretty Good, & Quick Read

I enjoyed the book, it has helped me through a sleepless night (thanks, insomnia).
At first, Jace seemed like a typical hero for this genre, all alpha and dominant but at the same time he is a lot sweeter than most and turned out to be capable of introspection - that’s not typical and I really enjoyed it. I ended up liking him quite a bit, more than most male leads in urban fantasy or paranormal romance. (He might seriously be way up in my favorites list, because I usually don’t like the male leads much.)
Keelie is fine, too. Given her history and life, her actions make sense (in a world with werewolves, that is).
The one thing that had me grumbling a bit is that despite the heavy emphasis on rape (and I mean heavy! There is no rape scene, but it’s talked about a lot, so be prepared if that bothers you) and despite the new alpha wanting to clean house and ish, there isn’t really any talk about the consequences of rape. I get this is an erotic story and it’s good that he frees the females still trapped in forced matings, but if you have a whole pack that has been raping their women, maybe at least hint that you’re gonna get them therapeutic help? There are things that time alone won’t heal.

I had read bad reviews on the narration and ... well, yeah, Erin deWard read every line very breathy, like it was a sex scene, even when it was a normal or dangerous situation. I did get used to it eventually, but it irked me at the beginning. Other than that, the narration was good, though. I liked Noah Micheal Levin’s little laughters (for example, in a sentence like “hah! As if!” He would actually perform the “hah!” Which was really nice and brought the narration to life).

So overall, listen to the sample, if it sounds okay to you and you like the plot description (and you don’t mind some dominance and submission games with your sex scenes) give it a go. I don’t regret spending time with these two characters.

Better than I thought it’d be

I definitely recommend this audiobook. Both authors do a good job. It was short enough to not get boring and long enough to still have a good plot.

Good Book

Where does Wolf's Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Erin DeWard and Noah Michael Levine take a good story and make it phenomenal. They do spot on Southern accents, and build great sexual tension and edge of your seat action. Not only should you buy this book, you should buy the whole series. Without a doubt anything these do two narrators do together (or alone for that matter) is worth putting at the top of your list. No one in the world makes drawls sexier.

You should buy this for the narration alone– Great
