Entertaining and informative

It was a great sweeping overview of history. I would recommend for anyone wanting to hear about history of the world. It did a good job of keeping you entertained throughout.
The speaker reminded me any my wife of Casey Kasem.

Interesting history

I enjoyed its not just a book of facts and dates, I also just love history

Thorough comparison of Catholicism with Scripture. Every point referenced. Logical presentation carefully thought out and interesting.

Incoherent

The core concept of this book is that it's organized by theme, not chronology. Unfortunately, the end result is a loosely cobbled together slew of tidbits with nothing to tie it all together. I don't see how a book can "fill the gaps in your mental timeline" when the book itself is, by design, full of gaps itself.
