Emotional Story

This is the first book I've read by this author, and definitely will not be my last! If it were possible to give this book more than 5 stars I would, because it was absolutely wonderful. This book is told in dual POV’s by the two main characters Sarah and Chord. Chord and Sarah have known each other since kindergarten and are destined to be together. This book is one of loss, family, heartbreak, and love. It's a moving unforgettable story and I definitely recommend you read it for yourself, you won't regret it.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Heartfelt & Moving!

This is an amazing story, it is beautifully written and deeply moving. It is my first book by Leaona Luxx and it will not be my last, I loved her writing style, the storylines and characters she created. The story not only grabbed my attention it grabbed my heart right from the start. Sarah and Chord meet in school and became best friends. Sarah’s home life was less than stellar but Chord’s loving family excepted her with open arms. As they got older their friendship continued to grow and then it morphed into more, a deeper love. Sarah’s home life never improved but she had people looking out for her now, especially Chord, I loved his protectiveness of her. I adored the relationship these two had, their bond and the rapport she had with his family. She also became best friends with Thayer, Chord’s sister. All was going great until that it doesn’t, Sarah is gone and Chord’s heart is broken. He never gives up searching for her but his life was forever changed. This is a beautiful and heartfelt story, I loved how well plotted it is, starting with when they first meet and the cuteness of when they were young to how they grew to adulthood, there is plenty of drama, some angst and a whole lot of emotions, some heartfelt some heartbreaking. I actually bawled like a baby at times, loved how Leaona Luxx kept it all real, especially the twist and turns life brought to these characters, she handled it all beautifully. Thank you for this wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Sarah Puckett and Jarman Day. They are entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists. They do an amazing job performing the voices for all the characters, changing from childhood to adulthood. I loved how they gave each character their own unique sound and personality, how they humanized them and brought them to life. You can hear how much heart they put into their work as they project the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into their performance. Thank you for this fantastic, heartfelt listen🎧

Oustanding and heart wrenching

Where do I even start with this incredible heart breaking and heart warming story. A pair of childhood sweethearts and best friends and their story of all the curve balls that were thrown their way. Sara and Chord were such easy characters to fall for and easy to relate to. Their start was the sweetest and then adulting hits and there went my heart. I found myself engrossed in their story and while I felt Chord was so easy to forgive and understand I could only dream of a love like theirs.

Sarah Puckett and Jarman Day were OUTSTANDING in delivering this story and bringing all the feels to the surface for me. I was literally bawling like a baby while listening to this as their voices caught something in my brain and heart and resonated with me straight to the bone

Leaona Luxx writes such beautiful words, and to have her characters brought to life by Sarah & Jarman will heighten all your emotions. You are in for the ride of your life. If you only download one audiobook this year...this is the one you NEED!!!!!

I. Am. Dead.

I only have a few words for this review because I don't want to rehash the story line. I went in blind other than hearing "have a box of Kleenex" handy - with those words alone I knew I wanted in. It came out of left field and oh dear lord it killed me. I had to keep turning it off to catch my breath and dry my eyes. It was a love story that spanned years. It was far from perfect and riddled with so many instances of heartbreak. I felt every piece of their pain. Their love was everything and more. They are a couple that will stay with me long past the last page.

Sarah Pukkett and Jarman Day did a phenomenal job of bringing this story to live. Kudos to both of you for taking on the difficult task of narrating this story.

This was my first story by Leaona Luxx and she did not disappoint.
