More Sci-fi than Romance

It took me a bit to get into the story because the MFC drove me nuts with all her scientific analyses and her superior attitude. I wanted to slap her upside her head and say honey you are on a different planet, stop with the intellectual snobbery. Even when they finally got together she was still boringly predictable. But I finished it and gave it 4 stars because I can’t begin to imagine how much research the author put into creating it. The world building alone was worth 5 stars but I couldn’t get pass the good Doctor.

Im now a fan!

I truly enjoyed this storyline. Im now looking forward to enjoying book #2. I was shocked to see that there's only these 2 tiles under this writer, and I pray they write more. Im now a fan and plan on reading everything they publish.

it didn’t make sense

This is a “romance” book with no emotions? It reads like a research paper with science that feels unfounded and there are many instances of knowledge just somehow known with no way of knowing it (eg. His name? His rank? Comprehension of language). Also why have just 1 chapter from his point of view that also doesn’t fit the timeline? What happened to all the men he said he brought with him that were not with him once we get back to her? The cover has her be black but it never says she is

The terrible quality of virtual voice eclipsed all other considerations.

I very much dislike the poor quality of virtual voice narration. The stupid machine can not even manage to pronounce names consistently.

Main female character is bone headed

Girls not worth the trouble, she has a near death experience in almost every chapter and is not grateful for any of times she was helped or saved by her mate. She’s so glacier and cold that any sort of romantic interest couldn’t warm me up to the book. Female character was a pestilence.
