Every day I turned my camera on, sat in front of my tripod, and recorded myself doing my makeup, hair, or getting ready for an event. My supporters watched wishing they had the newest designer bag that I had just worn, or the mountains upon mountains of PR every brand sent to my front door. They wanted to be Harlym J., and I mean, I couldn’t blame them. I made this lifestyle look like a piece of cake with three cherries on top.

What they didn’t see was the breakdowns, tears, and weekly visits to shake my titties for a perverted correction officer just to see my man. They didn’t see the arguments and moments of loneliness while all my other friends were moving on with their lives. They were getting married, getting pregnant, advancing in their careers, and all I was getting was action from my rose.

I wanted to hate Ashton Willshire. I mean, he’s self-centered, rude, and cocky as ever. There was no way I was going to give up something familiar for uncharted territories. I don’t know if it was the gold teeth, the tattoos, or the way he tied his du-rag. All of it drove my senses haywire, and I hated it.

So, yeah … thanks.

I thought the first book was a lot but this one…whew. This book will have you on an emotional roller coaster the entire book. I hated that and wanted to rush the book but understood the length was needed to understand the seriousness and severity of what was going on. I a, glad it’s over and hope book 3 is more balanced, lol

Whew..a lot

While the FMC makes you want to choke her with every chapter, a lot of us has been her in some form or fashion. I’m really enjoying this series ! I love exploring the range of Jah!

Harlym is insufferable

I’m ngl… Harlym was the WORST! But I loved the story, it touched on issues most books don’t & I loved Ashton. The writing was SO GOOD

Omg I love the storyline but baby when I say Harlym got on my last nerve I mean my last and Ash was getting there like that back & forth and back & forth nope wasn’t for it and that Ex Cam I would’ve knocked him up side his head I’m into the next story cause I’m so through with this one but I like it!

Good story

Enjoyed the narration by Staci and Ace. The storyline, at some points worked my nerves. I was getting so frustrated with Harlym. I do understand the dilemma, and her disorder was nothing to play with. Once she revealed her truth, she saw the support she didn’t think she’d have. Her biggest support being Ashton, because her former boyfriend Cam was there only to tear her down. Unfortunately, he was her safe space (in her mind). I was so glad she finally got it. She definitely deserved better. That disorder, I don’t hear a lot in the black community, and I am sure it exists. Unfortunately, it starts at home or from those we think care about us - not realizing how damaging it could become.

Oh and as they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Ashton and Harlym stuck to it, as they dragged

Appreciated the love and patience of Ashton
