Another holiday hit from Emily Stone!

I have enjoyed all of Emily Stones holiday books and this one was another gem. I fell in love with Mel, Finn and the entire family ❤️ I laughed, cried and had all the holiday feels!

My least favorite Emily Stone

Emily Stone is usually a dependable choice for a heartfelt, bittersweet holiday story, and I always look forward to her books. This one, though, didn’t quite land for me. The romance is told mostly through flashbacks, which can be effective, but we start with very little foundation before the characters are suddenly placed in a forced proximity situation that feels a bit abrupt. While the author clearly tries to give them depth, they never fully come to life, and the story, overall, felt a little tedious.

ARC Review | NetGalley - I was so pleasantly surprised with this book, and it turned me into a new reader of Emily Stone's! I'm unsure as to why I was hesitant to start reading this book, but I can say that I am already looking forward to reading her other seasonal books! Second chance romances are some of my favorites - especially when they're coupled with relatability and humor, and this book had both of those elements! I also really enjoyed the dual timeline & pov's - it really kept the storyline moving, without lagging, and gave us a deeper understanding of their relationship. I also think there was a really good balance of yearning, tension, chemistry, and spice - it wasn't too much to overpower the story but it didn't leave me wanting more, either. This book was a really, really good combination of story with emotional depth and feeling mixed with banter, comedic relief, and spice! All in all, I'm really happy with my decision to add this to this years holiday TBR!

Lovely holiday story

This is a charming book with very likable characters and a wonderful holiday read. The narration was easy to listen to and made the story come alive.
