The New York Times bestselling “new Agatha Christie” (Air Mail) Ruth Ware returns with this adrenaline-fueled thriller that combines Mr. and Mrs. Smith with The Fugitive about a woman in a race against time to clear her name and find her husband’s murderer.

Hired by companies to break into buildings and hack security systems, Jack and her husband, Gabe, are the best penetration specialists in the business. But after a routine assignment goes horribly wrong, Jack arrives home to find her husband dead. To add to her horror, the police are closing in on their suspect—her.

Suddenly on the run and quickly running out of options, Jack must decide who she can trust as she circles closer to the real killer in this unputdownable and heart-pounding mystery from an author whose “propulsive prose keeps readers on the hook and refuses to let anyone off until all has been revealed” (Shelf Awareness).

Ruth Ware does not disappoint! Really enjoyed that twisty plot … and core characters. Enjoyed the premise of the book and learned a lot. Highly recommend this if you want a suspense-driven read. Also — great narration. I really enjoy listening to Imogen.

Great story!

I'm getting tired really tired of two things... The first one being every time someone in a story is getting challenged or something goes wrong they scream out the f-bomb over and over and over AND OVER again...ALL THROUGH THE BOOK. Come on!! Not every person reacts that way, even under extreme pressure. Ruth.... Have a little bit more class.
The second thing I'm getting tired of is detective dramas being labeled as "thrillers" that are not thrillers and are carbon copies of every other detective drama with a few deviations and differences they are basically all the same.
I have liked Ruth Ware in the past but seriously this one just didn't do it for me.

Meh...
