  • Should You Buy the 2026 BMW X3 M50? What the Spec Sheet Won't Tell You
    Mar 22 2026

BMW wants you to believe the 2026 X3 M50 is the ultimate zero compromise machine. But when you bolt 21 inch wheels, an M Sport differential, and aggressive damping to a 4,500 pound crossover, does it ruin the daily commute? We put the 393-horsepower engine and its chassis to the test to find out.

  • The 2026 Nissan Leaf Ignores Every EV Trend (And It Works)
    Mar 21 2026

If you’re looking for a spaceship on wheels or a budget sports car, keep walking. The 2026 Nissan Leaf SV+ aggressively ignores almost every modern EV trend. And that might be the smartest thing Nissan could have done.

We put the $34,230 Nissan Leaf SV+ to the test to evaluate its real world driving dynamics, interior ergonomics, and why its structural solidity makes it one of the most honest commuter tools on the market. Plus, we dive into the owner forums to uncover the truth about its dual-port charging, real world range, and the infamous 12V battery issue.

  • The bZ4X is Dead. Is the 2026 Toyota bZ Actually Good?
    Mar 15 2026

For 3 years, buying a Toyota EV meant living in a charging infrastructure nightmare. But for 2026, they quietly dropped the "4X" from the name and added a native NACS port right into the sheet metal. Did borrowing Elon Musk's plug actually fix this car or is it a band aid for something else?

In this review of the 2026 Toyota bZ Limited AWD, we test the dual electric motors, independent eAxles, and X-MODE traction systems. We look at why the chassis rides better than a Tesla Model Y, but suffers from completely numb steering. Plus, we dive into real owner intel to expose the truth about winter range reduction (up to 50% some say) and the hidden fast charging throttle that limits you to 13 kW after 2 or 3 recent fast charges.

  • 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO Review: Better Than a Yukon Denali?
    Mar 14 2026

6,100 pounds. In the cold. On winter tires. Nissan calls this a NISMO, but physics doesn't care about a badge. We took the 2026 Armada NISMO into a brutal Toronto winter to find out if this is genuine engineering or just a marketing exercise.

Testing the 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO (VR35DDTT twin-turbo V6) in extreme winter conditions. This review evaluates the NISMO-tuned Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension against the 6,100 pound curb weight and 22 inch forged alloy wheels. We drive this 460 hp / 516 lb-ft during the winter to see if the Patrol DNA holds up on broken pavement.

  • Why The $43,195 Honda Prelude Actually Makes Sense
    Mar 8 2026

Honda took a 44 MPG commuter powertrain and bolted it to the suspension geometry and braking hardware of a Civic Type R. We bypass the spec sheet complaining to diagnose whether this mix of economy hardware and track-focused damping actually works when you load up the chassis mid-corner. Plus, we dive into early owner intel to explain why Honda's synthetic S+ Shift mode is costing the car 1.5 seconds in a straight line.

  • Polestar 4 on Ice: When Software Can't Save You
    Mar 7 2026

You can hide poor suspension geometry behind sticky tires and instant EV torque on asphalt. But on the ice at Circuit Mécaglisse, mechanical grip is effectively zero.

We drove the 2026 Polestar 4 at a frozen track in Quebec to find out what happens when you ask 544 horsepower and 5,200 pounds to communicate through a digital safety net. Manufacturers love using winter environments to prove their torque vectoring software can rewrite physics. We are here to see if the analog damping and chassis balance actually allow you to manage the mass, or if the stability control acts as a straightjacket.

  • The Best Lexus NX Is Also The Most Expensive (2026 NX 450h+ Review)
    Mar 1 2026

Usually, the smart money Lexus is the base hybrid. It’s efficient, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The 2026 Lexus NX 450h+ F SPORT Handling is none of those things. It is complicated, it weighs 4,500 pounds, and it costs over $65,000. But after a week of driving, I’m starting to think the smart money is wrong.

For 2026, Lexus has finally paired the plug-in hybrid powertrain with the F SPORT Handling package in Canada, adding the Adaptive Variable Suspension and performance dampers to the heaviest SUV in the lineup. The result is a car that finally feels finished—but you have to pay Porsche money to get it.

In this review, we diagnose whether the adaptive dampers can manage the mass of the 18.1 kWh battery, if the CVT ruins the "F Sport" experience, and why this might be the only NX actually worth the premium.

  • Don't Buy The V6: 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Review
    Feb 28 2026

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade V6 regressed. It got heavier, slower, and louder. The Hybrid Calligraphy is the correction. Here is the physics based explanation of why the heavier hybrid is actually the better driver's SUV.

When we tested the XRT Pro, we found a vehicle struggling with its own weight. The V6 needed constant downshifts, the suspension felt unsettled, and the 0-60 time dropped by two seconds. The Hybrid Calligraphy adds even more weight (batteries) and bigger 21-inch wheels, which should be a recipe for disaster.

But after 500 miles of testing, the verdict is the opposite. The electric torque fills the gaps the V6 couldn't, the battery mass settles the chassis in a way the off road suspension didn't, and the interior finally delivers the silence the price tag demands.

In this deep dive, we audit the brake modulation (often a hybrid failure point), test the real world winter fuel economy, and reveal why this is the only powertrain you should consider for the 2026 Palisade.
