Listening to this while cleaning my house and was so profoundly moved by this episode I was almost brought to tears. I’ve struggled with guilt around friendships that have faded and this podcast explained friendship in a way that I will never forget. Thanks Mel for helping me start to rid myself of guilt and live a richer life!

How could Mel put so much takeaways in a 30-minute long podcast? I like the analogy of our friendships compared to a tree. According to her, there are three types of friendships. With this, I now understand that not all friendships should be treated as equal. We must focus on those people we wanted to nurture our friendship and let go of those who are passing season.

I love how Mel accounts her own experience in her talks. I love how human and relatable she is. I would think that someone like her would have so many friends. Boy I was wrong. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us Mel. It gave a new light on how I relate to other people and not to feel bad if I was not invited to a party which I didn't want to be in in the first place.

I cried for a little bit towards the end. Because Mel said the most important thing of all, is to be a friend to yourself. I never saw friendship in this light. I had to stop and take that in. Because as much as I am there for other people, the more I should be there for myself.
