High Tea with Lady V Relaunch: Lady Garden 101, Hormones, and Reclaiming Pussy Power

Lady V returns from a hiatus and relaunches High Tea with Lady V by re-releasing six favorite episodes every two weeks before new interviews and guests. She kicks off with the original Episode 101, framing the show as a no-filter space to talk about vaginas, vulvas, hormones, aging, and women’s health in plain language. Drawing on her experience as a registered nurse in cosmetics and “aging well,” and her personal motivation after her mother’s dementia and her own APOE4 risk, she critiques how girls were taught only to avoid pregnancy, how periods are used to dismiss women’s emotions, and how many vaginal and hormonal issues go unaddressed. She shares early experiences like thrush and highlights gaps in research, including women’s late inclusion in medical trials, and discusses HRT versus the pill in perimenopause, ending with a call to reclaim knowledge, voice, and power.

If you’ve ever wondered why we can casually debate cryptocurrency and protein powder but get awkward the moment someone says “vagina,” you’re exactly who we made this for. Welcome to High Tea with Lady V, where we pull up a chair, put the kettle on, and talk about women’s health in plain language with zero shame and a lot of heart.

We’re digging into the subjects women are too often told to whisper about: hormones, perimenopause and menopause, sex and desire, body changes, aging, motherhood, and the complicated truth of relationships. I’m Lady V, a women’s health advocate who believes honest conversation is a form of care. When we can name what’s happening in our bodies, we can ask better questions, spot red flags sooner, and stop feeling like we’re “too much” for wanting real answers.

You’ll hear from experts, doctors, rebels, disruptors, and everyday women, because women’s health isn’t only clinical, it’s lived. Whether you’re driving the kids to sport, hiding in the pantry with chocolate, or staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m. while your hormones treat sleep as optional, there’s a seat here for you. Expect laughs, the occasional gasp, and those moments where you blurt out, “Why did nobody tell me this before?”

If this sounds like your kind of honest women’s health podcast, hit subscribe, share High Tea with a friend who needs it, and leave a quick review so more women can find us. What topic do you want us to spill the tea on next?

Who said history was boring 🥱

From the belief that women couldn’t experience pleasure during sex, higher education would damage a woman’s reproductive organs to my favourite — that your womb could just get up and wander around your body.

We are exporting the historical theories of the Vagina. #yourwelcome

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday- the truth about pubic hair.
    Oct 24 2025

    Send a text

This Friday, we’re getting a little… hairy. Yep, we’re talking pubic hair — and before you reach for the wax pot, let’s appreciate this fabulous fluff for what it really does.

Function 1: Protection, darling! Think of it as a soft security guard for your vagina — keeping friction, bacteria, and irritation at bay.

Function 2: Nature’s reproductive billboard — the body’s old-school way of saying “Welcome to womanhood!” (though honestly, that message can politely F-off).

Function 3: The pheromone carpet theory — that it traps those sexy scent molecules that may just lead your mate straight to the promised land. (Purely theoretical… but we’ll take it.)

So next time you pick up the razor, maybe think twice… unless you’re deep in perimenopause — then by all means, shave away, sisters.

Whether you embrace it, ignore it, or shape it into a lightning bolt — do what tickles your fancy.

And remember, ladies… water those lady gardens (or hedges) — they deserve it.

  • Hormonal Hump Day & Crawling Skin
    Oct 8 2025

    Send a text

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens — it’s Wednesday, Hormonal Hump Day, and let me tell you… that title could not be more accurate for me today.

I’ve got my period. I’ve cried about ten times. I wanted to murder my husband because he was brushing his teeth too loudly — so let’s just say I am emotionally unhinged and the day isn’t even over yet.

Now, have you ever had that weird, creepy-crawly feeling on your skin — like something’s crawling on you, but there’s absolutely nothing there?

Or maybe your skin just feels itchy as hell for no reason?

Well ladies, here’s the thing: oestrogen isn’t just about moods, boobs, and babies — it also plays a huge role in collagen production and skin hydration. When our oestrogen drops during perimenopause and menopause, our skin becomes drier, thinner, and itchier.

So if you’re scratching like a flea-ridden cat and wondering what’s wrong — it might not be the laundry detergent… it might just be your hormones.

Happy Hormonal Hump Day, my loves — hydrate, moisturise, and try not to commit husband-related homicide.

Fun Fanny Fact Friday: Feed Your Pussy

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens and welcome back to another Fun Fanny Fact Friday!

This week, we’re tackling a topic every woman deserves to know: why it’s so important to feed your pussy—especially as we slide into perimenopause and menopause.

As our estrogen drops, our vaginal pH shifts, becoming less acidic. That change leaves us dry, itchy, burning, and more prone to UTIs and bacterial overgrowth. Basically, our once self-cleaning, powerhouse Lady Gardens suddenly need a little extra TLC.

So what’s the winner? Vaginal estrogen. In this episode, I break down how it restores moisture, supports bladder health, strengthens vaginal tissue, and why it’s safe for long-term use.

It’s time to get real, raw, and a little cheeky about vaginal health—because looking after your pussy is non-negotiable.

🎧 Tune in, have a laugh, and learn how to keep your Lady Garden thriving

  • Welcome to Wednesday Hormonal Hump Day
    Oct 1 2025

    Send a text

Hello my beautiful Lady Gardens, welcome to Hormonal Humpday!

I’m in sunny Boggabri and it is FRICKIN’ HOT — and not the ideal climate for a perimenopausal woman

Did you know the drop in estrogen during perimenopause can make your brain feel like it’s on permanent holiday?

Forgetfulness, brain fog, losing your train of thought mid-sentence — yep, I live there daily.

Sure, estrogen, exercise, fibre, protein + omega-3s can help… but let’s be honest, who the f remembers that when we can’t even remember what day it is?!

Basically, we’re just wandering around in our 40s + 50s like confused Brady Bunch characters — not knowing what we’re doing, saying, or thinking

And in case you did forget… it’s Wednesday.

    Water those Lady Gardens!

  • Fun Fanny Fact Friday - Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)
    Sep 26 2025

    Send a text

It’s Fun Fanny Fact Friday – and I don’t know what’s more shocking… the fact I’ve got another wild fanny fact for you, or that it’s bloody Friday again already.

So, ladies… have you ever heard of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)?

Think varicose veins, but in your vagina/pelvis. Yep, your pelvic veins can swell, twist, and totally rebel, leaving you with a heavy, achy pain that feels like you’ve got a brick wedged in your uterus.

    🔎 What it feels like:

    • A constant dull ache (worse as the day goes on).
    • Sometimes sharp or intense (often worse on the left).
    • Pain that ramps up:
      • Before/during your period
      • During or after sex (that’s if anyone’s still doing that in their 40s )
      • After standing, sitting too long… or walking (PCS said: “just lie down, queen”).
    • Can radiate into your legs or lower back.
    • Horse riding & weight lifting?

    Why it happens:

Blood is supposed to flow nicely through your veins. In PCS, the valves don’t work properly → blood flows backwards → veins get engorged & twisty. Estrogen and pregnancy changes? Big culprits.

    How it’s diagnosed

    • Ultrasound
    • MRI / CT scan
    • Venogram (fancy X-ray with dye to check blood flow)

    Treatment options:

    • Lifestyle tweaks: avoid long sitting/standing, compression stockings, gentle exercise.
    • Medications: hormonal therapy may help.
    • Minimally invasive: vein embolization (tiny plug in the leaky vein so blood stops pooling).
    • Surgery (rare, but an option).

    Takeaway:

If you’ve had chronic pelvic pain that’s NOT linked to periods or pregnancy — don’t brush it off. Ask your doctor about PCS. You’re not crazy, babe… it’s literally your pelvic veins causing the drama.
