  • Trish Patterson | First person EVER to hold the FKT for Winter Dragons Back
    Mar 17 2026

On today’s episode, we’re joined by a world record holder — Trish Patterson.

In December 2025, Trish set the FKT (Fastest Known Time) for the Winter Dragon’s Back: a brutal 327km journey with over 16,300m of elevation. Starting at Conwy Castle in North Wales and finishing at Cardiff Castle in the south, it’s one of the toughest endurance challenges out there.

In this episode, we dive into the training that led to this incredible achievement, her approach to risk, and how she manages herself in the wilderness when things get really tough. We also explore the power of having the right people around you — and how collective energy can elevate performance to another level.

And of course, we talk about what’s next. Enjoy — this one’s an absolute cracker.
