    Mar 17 2026

On today’s episode, we’re joined by a world record holder — Trish Patterson.

In December 2025, Trish set the FKT (Fastest Known Time) for the Winter Dragon’s Back: a brutal 327km journey with over 16,300m of elevation. Starting at Conwy Castle in North Wales and finishing at Cardiff Castle in the south, it’s one of the toughest endurance challenges out there.

We also explore the power of having the right people around you — and how collective energy can elevate performance to another level.

And of course, we talk about what’s next. Enjoy — this one’s an absolute cracker.

  • Dame Flora Duffy | A Name That’s Earned More Than BA Upgrades
    Mar 3 2026

In this episode we catch up with Flora Duffy. We talk about the significance of becoming a Dame and the achievements that led to her appointment as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

We rewind to her early years in the sport — from competing at her first Commonwealth Games to stepping away from triathlon entirely and joining a sorority. We explore how the unlikely path of XTERRA racing helped her build confidence, maximise her strengths, and, alongside a generation of like-minded athletes (Jess included), ultimately influence the way the sport was raced.

Jess and Flora swap race stories and reflect on how working together shaped their success in draft-legal racing. Flora also opens up about the reality of injury, time away from the sport, and what it’s taken to rebuild and transition into the world of T100 and 70.3 racing.

A massively insightful and honest conversation with lessons for athletes at every level.

    Enjoy.
