• 304. Plan Your Best Summer Yet as a Working Mom (Simple System for Less Stress & More Memories)
    Mar 24 2026

    Hi mama,

Summer can be one of the most magical seasons when you have kids.

Beach days, ice cream runs, pool time, backyard dinners, and those long evenings when the sun doesn’t seem to set.

But for working moms, summer also comes with a lot of logistics and planning.

Between camps, sports schedules, vacations, childcare, and work responsibilities, it can feel like summer becomes another schedule to manage instead of a season to enjoy.

In today’s episode, I share a simple framework to help working moms plan an intentional summer so you can handle the logistics while still creating meaningful family memories.

Instead of letting summer fly by in a blur, a little planning now can help your family experience a season that feels more relaxed, fun, and connected.

What You'll Learn in This Episode

🏖️Start With the Reality of Your Schedule Before planning the fun things, map out camps, sports, childcare needs, and work schedules so you know what your summer actually looks like.

🍉Decide How You Want Summer to Feel Do you want your summer to feel relaxed, adventurous, connected, or slower paced? Defining this helps guide your decisions.

🌴Choose Your Summer Priorities Identify the few things that would make the season meaningful for your family.

🌊Create a Simple Summer Bucket List Ask your kids what they want to do this summer and write down a short list of realistic activities.

🍦Establish Weekly Summer Traditions Simple traditions like taco night, movie night, or family walks can create rhythm and connection.

🌞Protect White Space Leave room in the calendar for spontaneous fun, relaxation, and the moments that often become the most memorable.

  • 301. Working Mom Mindset: The Simple Time Management Rule That Helps Busy Moms
    Mar 16 2026
Hi Mamas, If you’ve ever started the week with big intentions… working out, meal prepping, spending more quality time with your kids, or finally getting ahead at work… only to watch the week fill up with meetings, activities, and unexpected responsibilities… You are not alone. Today, we’re unpacking a simple but powerful productivity truth: “What gets scheduled gets done.” — Michael Hyatt For busy working moms, the difference between wishing something would happen and actually making it happen often comes down to one thing… Putting it on the calendar. When something only lives in your head or on a never-ending to-do list, it’s easy for it to get pushed aside. But when you intentionally block time for it… just like you would a meeting or appointment… it becomes a real commitment. In this episode, you’ll discover how scheduling your priorities can help you: Create better work-life balance Make time for exercise, planning, and family connection Stop reacting to your schedule and start leading your week Reduce overwhelm and mental clutter Build consistency around habits that support your well-being You’ll also hear a simple challenge to help you start implementing this mindset right away. Because the goal isn’t to pack more into your schedule… It’s to make sure the right things actually have a place in your week. And tomorrow’s episode will build on this by walking you through a simple weekly reset routine that helps working moms plan their week with clarity and intention. 💛 Your challenge this week: Look at your calendar and ask yourself: What is one thing that matters to me that I haven’t actually scheduled yet? Then put it on your calendar. Because when you intentionally make space for the things that matter most… They’re far more likely to happen. 👉 Come share what mindset shift helped you this week in our free Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and help inspire other moms just like you! ⭐ If this episode gave you a little boost, please take a moment to leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify… your reviews help more amazing moms find the show! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 📌 Grab Your Freebies! ✨ ChatGPT Prompts Made Simple for Moms ✨ 🔥 Boundaries Made Simple… guilt-free scripts, mindset shifts, and a “guilt-detox” checklist 💖 Goal Manifesting Planner … map your dreams with bite-size prompts 🥗 Stress Free Weeknight Dinners Guide… reclaim your evenings (and your sanity) 📱 Tech Time-Out for Moms Guide… ditch the scroll and win back precious minutes 🧹 Spring Cleaning Checklist… because clutter steals time, too 🎅Christmas Planning Guide… yes, early prep counts as self-care 💻ChatGPT Prompts Made Simple for Moms.. simply cut and paste Want to connect with other amazing moms? • 300. I Thought I’d Be Further By Now… A Real Conversation About Growth, Anxiety, and Becoming
    Mar 10 2026

    Hi mama,

As I reached episode 300 of Mom Wife Career Life I found myself reflecting on the past three years of balancing corporate work, motherhood, and building this podcast.

I’m proud to say that through job changes, stress, parenting, and life’s ups and downs, I’ve never missed a week of releasing an episode.

But hitting this milestone also brought an unexpected feeling…

    Disappointment.

Because if I’m being honest, I thought life would look a little different by now.

In this episode, I share the reality of the past year… including a health scare, anxiety, grief, tragedy in my community, and the emotional rollercoaster of preparing to send my oldest daughter to college.

Through it all, my priorities have shifted.

    Right now they look like:

    • Protecting my health • Being present with my family • Soaking up every moment of having all three of my kids under the same roof

    Because sometimes growth isn’t loud.

Sometimes it looks like rest… letting go of timelines… protecting your peace… and showing up for what matters most.

If you’ve ever thought, “I thought I’d be further by now,” please know this:

    You’re not behind.

    You’re becoming.

    Mar 8 2026

Welcome to Mom Wife Career Life

If you’re a working mom who feels like you're constantly juggling work deadlines, family responsibilities, and about a thousand tabs open in your brain at all times… you are absolutely in the right place.

I’m Kerri Patt... a corporate leader, wife, and mom of three.

For years I felt like I was trying to do all the things. I was commuting hours into Manhattan, managing my career, raising my kids, running our home, volunteering, and constantly feeling like I was being pulled in a hundred different directions.

From the outside, it probably looked like I had it all together.

But inside… I often felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and like there was never enough time in the day.

Somewhere along the way, I realized something important:

Being busy all the time wasn’t the same thing as living a life that actually felt balanced.

So I started focusing on time management, mindset, setting boundaries with work, and living more intentionally… and those small shifts completely changed how I show up in my life as a mom, a professional, and a person.

That journey is exactly why I created this podcast.

Now, with over 300 episodes and tens of thousands of downloads, Mom. Wife. Career. Life. has become a place where ambitious working moms can come for practical strategies, honest conversations, and encouragement along the way.

Each week I share short, practical episodes you can listen to in under 20 minutes where we talk about:

    • Time management strategies for busy working moms • Setting boundaries with work and protecting family time • Reducing stress and overwhelm • Creating simple systems that make daily life easier • Building healthy habits and routines • Letting go of perfection so you can live more intentionally

    Because the truth is…

You don’t need more hours in the day.

You just need better systems, clearer priorities, and permission to stop trying to do it all.

If something in your life led you to this podcast today, I’m so glad you’re here.

  • 298. How To Stop Thinking About Work After Hours and Finally Mentally Log Off!
    Mar 3 2026

    Hi mama,

If you’re physically home but mentally still at work… you’re not alone.

In this episode, we’re talking about mental boundaries, because real work-life balance isn’t just about managing your calendar. It’s about protecting your thoughts.

Most working moms don’t struggle to shut off because they’re bad at relaxing.

    They struggle because:

    • They care deeply about doing a good job • They carry a lot of responsibility • They’re used to problem-solving all day • Their brain has been trained to stay alert

This episode breaks down exactly how to retrain your brain so it knows when it’s safe to rest. We’ll talk about:

✔️ Logging Off Physically Isn’t the Same as Logging Off Mentally: Why your brain needs cues to power down.

✔️ Create a Work-to-Home Transition Ritual:Simple ways to signal to your brain that the workday is complete (especially if you work from home).

✔️Contain Work Thoughts Instead of Fighting Them: How brain-dumping reduces rumination and nighttime anxiety.

✔️Define What “Enough” Looks Like: How setting daily Top 3 priorities prevents endless mental scanning.

✔️ Close Open Loops During the Day: Why unfinished tasks create evening mental noise.

✔️Address Unspoken Anxiety: How avoiding difficult conversations fuels overthinking, and how clarity quiets chaos.

✔️ The “Next Right Step” Method: The simple question that stops spiraling thoughts at 10pm.

✔️ Technology Audit: How email notifications, work apps, and phone habits sabotage your boundaries.

✔️Reclaim the Weekend With Intention: How to prevent Sunday Scaries and protect family time.
