We’ve chosen not to have children of our own, but would we date a man with kids? Becoming a step-parent is no joke—it’s a lot of responsibility, often with very little credit, and you’ll rarely, if ever, be the priority in your partner’s life. We’ve been friends for a decade now and we’re not at all the same people we were when we met. Luckily, we’ve grown together, but not every friendship is so lucky. Sometimes we travel in an entirely different direction from our loved ones and it makes maintaining a relationship tricky, and sometimes that growing apart leads to a friendship breakup.
