Trusting yourself can be the hardest thing to follow through doing in many situations. God made all of us unique and being authentic is living that to the fullest. We attract aligned relationships in all areas of our lives when we feel safe to have a point of view without being judged. Our children learn from our example with the type of relationships we choose and compassion for others, especially the ones meant to teach us a lesson.

In this episode, I will give examples you may relate to. Are people in your life for a reason, season or lifetime? One of my daughter's read the modern version on social media that read something like you never run into people again once their cycle in you life is complete. I find that so interesting, as I believe we do learn from relationships and hopefully evolve.

-Different people have a different point of view and can still respect each other

-Being authentic includes allowing yourself to have desires and opinions on what you want for your children, the type of work roles you create and relationships you wish to nurture

-Integration is an option rather than choosing in your roles

-Judgement or advice on your role as a mother or business from people without experience in these areas may include an intention that doesn't serve you

Do you choose a word for the year? My word of the year for 2026, Joy. Trust as the intention behind my word also allows me to release stress and instead invite more creativity.

In this episode, I discuss words from previous years starting in 2022. I choose my word before the year starts, typically in November. Simplicity was my word that year and was the beginning of the foundation I have built moving forward. Something heavy happened just before the year started, therefore the word was perfect.

Release was my word in 2023 helping me make space for new things in 2024. This included physical and digital. Do you have a practice for decluttering throughout the year?

Surrender for 2024 allowed me to welcome a new business idea and again helped me through some heavy things, not within my control.

Wisdom in 2025 helped me discern through chaos happening all year and find the solution to physical pain I was dealing with. What a blessing when you need to make wise decisions. Noticing who your genuine supporters really are

-Decades of not enough play and joy feel heavy. Balancing the scale of giving and receiving to a healthier level of both feels great. Did you know D.O.S.E. neurotransmitters and hormones like Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins are positive. Daily walks and morning meditation is helping me regularly reduce Stress hormones like Cortisol and Adrenaline.

-What ideas might light you up as a mom? I love time alone with each of my children and watching them in their individual creativity. I love shopping with my girls and golfing with my son.

-Are you surrounding yourself with reciprocal, authentic and joyful relationships in your business and personal life? Date nights with my husband, lunch or coffee with girlfriends and business relationships that inspire and gently push me in a positive direction from good examples. I have had the courage to have hard conversations and evolve in both areas. The result is more Joy.

The are different types of love. We can create space for love and choose to spread it to others creating a ripple effect. As mothers, being the example for our children of showing unconditional love is a gift extended to the many people they have contact with. Allowing them to feel that love regardless of their mistakes. God does not have conditions on the love for us and the continued grace we receive is an example we can use toward our children, friends, people in our businesses and community.

Releasing shame as humans on a journey I believe is part of this. We are living in different seasons, hopefully not reliving the past, depending on current consciousness. This allows safety, even when we disagree with others. We don't need to feel that we need to engage with everyone. If someone desires a conversation to resolve an issue, being open and honest is important. The denial of your contribution to a situation or of the present moment continues the cycle we show our children of what loving behavior is.

I share an activity to feel and share love in this episode, remembering the most loving moments you have ever experienced and feeling them again. We desire more of these moments naturally and can spread these feelings to others and then back to ourselves to fill our cups to overflow.
